Hazel Yvonne Loftin (Etheridge) (1924-2015) - Class Of 1944

Hazel Loftin Etheridge, 90, a lifetime resident of Montgomery, passed from this life peacefully in her home on January 28, 2015. She is predeceased by her husband George Etheridge. She is survived by her son, Trip Etheridge (Karen) of Montgomery; her daughter, Shirley Etheridge of Alexander City; her sister Mary Nell Moseley of Wetumpka; and niece and nephew, Susan Swink Bradford and Johnny Moseley.

Being an accomplished pianist, Hazel was the accompanist for Fanny Marks Siebels' Orchestra. She also taught piano for a number of years. In 1966, she began a real estate career and later opened her own company. She worked in real estate for forty-four years. She was a Huntingdon College graduate at the age of age sixty-five. She was a Methodist lay speaker and enjoyed giving devotionals at local nursing homes.

Funeral services will be held at White Chapel -Greenwood Funeral Home on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM with a graveside service at 2:00 PM.

Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Stegall Scholarship Fund.
