Ferrie E. Hunter (1923-2005) - Class Of 1942

Mr. Ferrie E. Hunter passed away on May 22, 2005 at the age of 82 from Congestive Heart Failure. He was born on December 18, 1923. Upon graduating from Sidney Lanier High School in 1942, Ferrie served his country in the US Army. After the war he returned home and was employed by the Durr Drug Company for 42 years. He retired in 1986.

Ferrie moved to Navarre Florida to enjoy his retirement years. He was very involved in his real estate holdings. When his health began declining he moved back to Montgomery and was a resident at Somerset.

Mr. Hunter was survived by his niece Ms. Alice Vazis of Colorado Springs, Colorado and by his niece Mrs. Ann Vazis Grezlak of Wheaton Illinois and by his devoted friend Rex Lane Miller. He was a former member of Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church and will surely be missed by all. He was loved by so many.
