Obituary
 Hettie Hopkins (Tut) Murchison (89) passed away peacefully after a prolonged illness Sunday evening. Born in Houston, TX, she moved to Montgomery as an infant and grew up here, graduating from Lanier High School before going to the University of Alabama where she was in the Kappa Delta sorority. She was married to Montgomery physician Dr. Grover C. Murchison, Jr. (deceased) and had five children: Grover R. (Ricky) Murchison, CDR USN(ret) (Kathy) and Cary M. Phillips, DVM, (Rusty) of Montgomery; Mary E. Murchison (Nelson), JD, (John) municipal Judge in Foley; Hettie H. (Tutta) Murchison, M.D. (deceased), and Agnes M. Cartner, M.D., DVM (Sam) of Birmingham. She has nine grandchildren: Cary Murchison, RN, of Montgomery, Cary Crowe, M.D. and Martha George, M.D., of Birmingham, Alexandra L. Murchison of Montgomery, Mary Marks Nelson and Lockett Nelson of Lillian; Samuel Cartner, Andrew Cartner and Margaret Cartner of Birmingham; and three great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at Saint John's Episcopal Church in Montgomery at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 21st; visitation will be in the Parish Hall at Saint John's at 10:00 AM.
