Erin M. Crum (Sternenberg) (1924-2007) - Class Of 1941

STERNENBERG, Erin Crum, 83, a lifelong resident of Mont­gomery, Alabama died Wednesday, September 12, 2007. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, Septem­ber 14, 2007 at 3:00pm at First United Methodist Church of Montgomery with Dr. Lawson Bryan and Bishop Paul Duffey officiating. Mrs. Sternenberg was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, William S. and Willa H.Crum. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert R. Sternenberg; two sons, Dr.William Randolph (Deedee) Sternenberg and Robert Ed­ward (Becky) Sternenberg of Montgomery; four grandchil­dren, Randy (Kathy) Sternen­berg of Fairhope, Alabama, Anne (David) Chandler, Mar­garet (Mike) Shanahan and Beth (Tim) Herndon, all of Montgomery; ten great grandchildren and a brother, Dr. William Barton (Dr. Ger­trude) Crum. She is also sur­vived by two nieces, Laura Crum of Montgomery and Joanie Zoghby of Mobile and two nephews, Dr. Eric (Kathe­rine) Crum and William (Beth) Crum, both of Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Wesley Fel­lowship Class and Ed Bailey, Lon Conner, Dr. Robin Embry, James Fuller and Dr. Hugh Praytor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church, 2416 W. Cloverdale Park, Montgom­ery, AL 36106 or to Alacare Home Health and Hospice,4782 Woodmere Blvd, Mont­gomery, AL 36106. Southern Memorial Directing

Larry D. Skelton (1961)

The Sternenbergs were neighbors of mine when I was a young lad.  What a fine family, and Mrs. Sternenberg was a gracious lady.  I really enjoyed my visits in their home.  To me it was like I was visiting in the home of Ozzie & Harriet Nelson.
