Eugenia Bridges (Sachar) (1921-2010) - Class Of 1940

 SACHAR, Eugenia Bridges, 88, lifelong resident of Montgom­ery, devoted servant to her Lord and Savior, died Sunday,January 17, 2010. She was preceded in death by her par­ents, William Mitchell Bridges and Eugenia Howe Bridges; her husband of 45 years, Myer Louis Sachar. Born on Decem­ber 16, 1921, she lived a won­derful life full of spirit, laughter, love, and she never met a stranger. A lifetime of work in her church included teaching The Lydia Ladies Sunday School for over forty years, and she served as the Director of WMU. She enjoyed traveling afar, including trips to the Holy Land, where she was baptized in the Jordan River. Mrs. Sachar is survived by her children, Car­ol (Dan) Jones, Robert (Linda) Sachar and Rubyanne (Hoyt) Henley; siblings, Anne Sykes Ad­ams and Bill (Sara) Bridges; eight grandchildren and elev­en great-grandchildren. Funer­al services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Tuesday,January 19, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.with Brother Lenny Bolton offici­ating. Burial will follow in Green­wood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at Leak Memory Chapel. Serving as Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joshua Sachar, Jimmy Jones, Warren Jones, Tripp Henley, Anthony Hunt and Jeff Miller.
