FOWLER, James T. “Pie Boy Perry”, 86, a resident of Montgomery, AL, died Saturday, December 17, 2006. Graveside services will be Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Greenwood Cemetery with Reverend Neal Hughes, Reverend Greg Murks and Dr. Padgett C. Cope officiating. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 PM at McGehee Road Baptist Church. Mr. Fowler was owner of Perry & Williams Plumbing Company from 1972 until 1998. He was a Deacon at McGehee Road Baptist Church and he played football at Lanier from 1937 until 1940. He also managed and played with Montgomery city wide baseball and softball leagues. He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Cope Fowler, his mother Mary John Sealy Fowler Perry, father John William Fowler, step-father Joseph N. Perry, daughter Lillian F. Bankston, sisters Dora F. Persons, Catherine F. Pinson, Mary Bell Perry and Maggie P. Bird and brother John W. Fowler. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Hopkins and Mary Eleanor Jefcoat, grandchildren Jamie A. Taylor (Earl), Seth H. Albritton, Jr “Hank” (Lisa), William C. Jefcoat, Jr. “Will” (Sherry), Julie Anne Jefcoat, Barbara E, Hopkins “Babs” and Jason Lee Hopkins and great grandchildren Skylar and Celeigh Albritton, Chad and Michael Jefcoat, Brooklyn and Isaiah Hopkins and Breanna Kelsoe. Active pallbearers will be Seth H. Albritton, Jr. “Hank”, William C. Jefcoat, Jr “Will”, Jason Lee Hopkins, Earl Taylor, Rueben Cope, Jimmy Ray Cope, Rick Young and Fred Williamson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of McGehee Road Baptist Church, Former teammates of Lanier High school and the City baseball and Softball teams. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Boys and Girls Ranch, Montgomery Food Bank and McGehee Road Baptist Church.
