Charles Jack Schulwolf (1919-2005) - Class Of 1937

SCHULWOLF, Charles J., 85, died Friday, August 12, 2005 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 14th at 2:00PM from Temple Beth-Or with Rabbi David Baylinson and Rabbi Kenneth Segal officiating. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest, Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Schulwolf is survived by his daughters, Debbie S. Barstein, Jackie S. Ginsburg and Francie Schulwolf Schwarz; and sons, Jeff Blitz, Dan Blitz and Russ Blitz; eleven grandchildren, Charlie Bar-stein, Erica Barstein, Molly Barstein, Matthew Ginsburg, Grant Ginsburg, Will Ginsburg, Marissa Schwarz, Genna Schwarz, Sam Blitz, Callie Blitz and Rebecca Blitz. A native of Montgomery Charles was very active in the community through his board involvement with the Montgomery Food Bank, Temple Beth-Or and SCORE, as well as serving as the Past President of The Food Brokerage Association and a lifetime Rotarian. He served his country in two wars through his service in the U.S. Air-Force. Charles raised his three girls after losing his first wife, Bernice Kreisman Schulwolf, at an early age. He later remarried Roselyn Blitz Schulwolf. After her death, also from cancer, he continued to be a loving father to her three boys. Charles Schulwolf would never admit it, but he is and always will be a great man. He will be remembered and loved by everyone he met. Pallbearers will be, Saul Ginsburg, Mark Barstein, Barry Schwarz, Sam Blitz, Charlie Barstein, Mandy Selber, Jr. Mandy Selber, III and Matthew Ginsburg. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rubin Franco, Fred Jones, Ray Furlong, Dick Loeb, Irving Winter, Charles Wampold and Joe Capilouto.
