Thelma Cook (McKissick) (1917-2005) - Class Of 1937

 MCKISSICK, Thelma Cook, 87, passed away Sunday August 28, 2005 at her residence. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday August 31st from 5 -8 pm at Southern Memorial. Funeral services will be Thursday September 1st at 3pm in Southern Memorial's Chapel with George Herring officiating.  Burial to follow in Greenwood. She was a long term employee of the City of Montgomery who was well known in the community and was also a member of Catoma Street Church of Christ. Ms. McKissick was preceded in death by her husband Col. Rex H. McKissick.  Survivors include 1 sister - Carnie C. Turner of Montgomery, nephew - Dr. Thomas M. and Helen Diane Turner of IL, great nephews - Thomas Jason Turner and Coby Mitchell Turner, several cousins, nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Irma and Herbert Traylor of Equality, AL. Pallbearers will be Brown Brady, Herbert Traylor, David Traylor, Tharp Forrester, Kirk Golden and Sam Bolen.  Southern Memorial Directing
