DEAN, George Cullen ''Bo'' Jr., 90, of Montgomery died Monday, June 16, 2008. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Eastern Hills Baptist Church with Dr. Rick Marshall and Rev. Larry Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at Leak-Memory Chapel on Thursday, June 19, 2008, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.Mr. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, G. C. and Eunice Dean; two sisters, Adelaide Wiley and Mary Messer and one brother, Maxwell Dean. He is survived by his wife, Barbara S. Dean; three daughters, Mary (Ben) McDavid, Montgomery; Ann (Tony) Rogers, Auburn and Cyndi (Norman) Arnold,Montgomery; two sons, Steve Moody (Holly), Phoenix, AZ,and James Moody (Kathy), Montgomery; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Dean worked as an accountant for the State of Alabama for 44 years, and served as State Comptroller the last three years before his retirement on March 31, 1981. He is a former President of the Montgomery Lions Club and was named Lion of the Year in 1989. He was a founder and one of the original board members of the Alabama State Employees Credit Union. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Cullen McDavid, Dean Rogers, Mike Rogers, Troy Arnold, Jason Gardner, Brandon Queen, Todd Atkinson, and nephew, David Little. Honorary pallbearers will be Hardy Kirk, Orin Goocher,J ohn Oliver and members of the Hurley Sunday School Class at Eastern Hills Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Eastern Hills Baptist Church Building Fund or Sav-A-Life.
