Melba S. Jordan, 95, of Montgomery and Birmingham (Mt Royal Towers Retirement Home and later in the town of Mt. Laurel), died at home on Monday, December 19, 2011. Mrs. Jordan was born on September 8, 1916. She was preceded in death by Hoke H. Jordan, her husband of 65 years. She is survived by daughters, Sybil (Richard) Gilley and Joan (Thomas) Mumma, 4 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Friday, December 23, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow in Greenwood Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. The family expresses special thanks to her devoted caregivers.
