Obituary
 A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Concord. Dr. Glenn Myers, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Mrs. Hightower was born on March 18, 1915 in Montgomery, AL. She was the youngest of ten children of Robert Stanton Armistead and Georgia Olivia Reid Armistead. She is survived by daughter, Georgianne H. Jenkins of Concord; son, John Peach Hightower, Jr. of Palm Springs, CA; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Remembrances for the family may be left at www.ladysfuenralhome.com.
