Herman Loeb, Jr. died October 20, 2005, at the age of 92. Mr. Loeb graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1930 and became a prominent business man in Montgomery, Alabama. In 1951 he bought the Piknik Products Company and grew the business from 2 employees to over 400 employees. He created three plant operations and produced Piknik Products for the top Fortune 500 companies in the United States.

Mr. Loeb was a founder and past director of the Capitol National Bank. He was a past president of Temple Beth Or and a past president of the Standard Country Club as well as a member of the Montgomery Rotary Club. Mr. Loeb served in the US Army and fought in five major European battles that liberated three concentration camps.

Mr. Loeb is survived by his wife, Carol Loeb, of 52 years. He is also survived by two sons, Ricky Loeb and his wife Jamie, and Bill Loeb and his wife Ann. Mr. Loeb is survived by nine grandchildren: Karyl, Danyel, Rochel, Yisroel, Liba, Miriam, Shira, Temima and Chaim.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 23, 2005, at 10:00 AM at Temple Beth Or. Burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Montgomery, Alabama.
