David Brenner (1961-2006) - Class Of 1980

BRENNER, David, a resident of Montgomery, Al., died Thursday, January 5, 2006 after a prolonged illness. David was born on December 19,1961, the son of Walter and the late Barbara Brenner.  David was a loving son and devoted friend who loved to cheer for the Crimson Tide and eat Martin’s fried chicken.  He grew up in Montgomery, graduating from Floyd Elementary and Junior High School and Sidney Lanier High School, and later attended Auburn University. In addition to his father, who cared for him so attentively during his illness, David is survived by his brothers, Irving Brenner of Charlotte, N.C. and Jeffrey Brenner of Houston, TX. and his step-mother Helene Brenner of Montgomery, Al.  Funeral services will be Sunday, January 8, 2006 at the graveside at Greenwood Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. with Rabbi Stephen Listfield officiating.  Pallbearers will be David’s friends and cousins: Tip Thames, Chuck Cunningham, Chuck Atkins, Matthew Orange, Richard Shinbaum, Kenneth Shinbaum Davd Markowitz and Larry Markowitz.  Honorary pallbearers are Sherman Markowitz, Irving Bern, Harold Ehrlich, Charles Miller, and Ben Sharker. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Congregation Agudath Israel/Etz Ahayem.  Leak-Memory Chapel Directing.
