In Memory Of Our Poets

Sharon Boyer (Pelt) (1953-2005) - Class Of 1971 VIEW PROFILE

Sharon passed away April 17, 2005, at the age of 52 in Montgomery, AL. She had survived a battle with cancer when she was 21. Unfortunatley the treatment she received ultimately caused the cancer that took her life. Sharon had many friends at Sidney Lanier and her untimely death saddens us all. Sharon's son, Robbie Pelt, was the love of her life. Along with her son Sharon is survived by husband Robert Pelt, her mother Jeannine Boyer, and her sisters Connie Sadler, Bonnie Mainor, and Shirley Cutler.

Sharon loved life and cherished her son Robbie. She loved people and shared her love of Jesus Christ with many. Sharon was a substitute teacher at several schools in Montgomery. She loved her last job with National Industries. She was blessed with a tremendous wisdom about life and helped many through their own problems.

Sharon is very much missed by her family. She was "Little Sister" and "Baby Sharon" to us. We loved her greatly. She had a wit that put a smile on everyones face. She is in Heaven now, with a new body, cured completely by Jesus.....until we meet again....

I am saddened and shocked to read of Sharon's untimely death at the young age of 52. I was excited to see her name and hoped to reconnect. I have fond and vivid memories of her vivacious personality. She was also a true Poet. She and I went back to Lanier the year after our graduation to a pep rally one time. She is alive in my mind's eye and I wish her family many memories of her love.

Sincerely,

Bev Taylor, Class of '71
