Leroy was one of my best friends ever. We grew up together since 7th grade and lived on the same street. We played basketball together in our neighborhood and we played in the band (saxophone section) at Lanier. Leroy was even in my wedding in 1992. I have a lot of fond memories of him laughing, hanging out and just acting crazy. He was a true friend and a great person. I miss him.

I also had so much fun growing up, and hanging out with Butch. His death was a hurtful shock to me. God bless his soul. May he rest in peace.

As a mighty marching poet from 76 to79. I am heartbroken to learn about leroy. I will always remember him as THE badest drum major of all. may he RIP.

What can I say about a guy that was my college roommate, friend and band member from high school through college. There is not a day that i don't think about him. He was the guy who always kept me laughing and doing things that I would have never done if it had not been for his out going ways. I will never forget him (butch) as everyone called him.
