William "Bill" Pou Nunn, III (1942-2011) - Class Of 1960

William Pou (Bill) Nunn, III went to be with the Lord December 10. He was born June 27, 1942 in Montgomery AL. He is survived by his wife Glenda Cooper Nunn, daughters Cynthia Nunn Price and Loraine Nunn (Jack) York; 2 precious grandchildren William Pou Nunn York and Catherine Cooper Price; Mother-in- law, Jessie W. Cooper, brother-in-law, W Earl (Mandy) Cooper of Brewton, sisters, Katherine Nunn (Brian) Willett of Birmingham and Loraine Nunn (Alf) Rhea of Atlanta and brother, and James Martin (Angie) Nunn of Birmingham; 5 nieces and 5 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Nunn, and Hazel Kent and step-father, William A. Kent, grandmother, Loraine L. and Pou Nunn, and father- in-law William H. Cooper. He graduated from Lanier in 1960, played football at Virginia Tech and graduated from Auburn University in 1965. Bill was in the insurance business and co- developed Glynnwood sub-division. He served as a councilman for the city of Montgomery (79-86), past- president of the Montgomery Lions Club, past-president of Diaconate of Normandale Baptist Church, past-president of Diaconate of Trinity Presbyterian Church, past- president of Wind Drift Condo Association, and Glynnwood Home Owners Association. He was a team member of 5 mission trips to Brazil and Mexico. He was a competitive tennis player, golfer, and runner. He loved the Lord, his family, and his precious grandchildren. He was a man with a servant's heart and taught us all how to live. Services will be at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Wednesday, December 14th at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Claude E. McRoberts III and Rev. S. Michael Howell officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Pallbearers will be Charles P. Brightwell III, Dr. Richard Carroll, Dr. Lewis P. Chapman, Michael G. Conn, Eugene C. Cook, Justice James Allen Main, Charles D. McDonald, and Haywood M. Sport. Honorary pallbearers will be the men's growth group and their wives from Trinity. There was Nunn-better!
